Louisiana residents will now have access to marijuana because of the legal permit of the state’s therapeutic cannabis program. This program was signed by the government, but this change in law will take place in August so that the doctors will be able to recommend a patient-specific amount of cannabis.

The chairman of the health committee held a meeting regarding making the cannabis legal which ended on June 21. This got 75 votes from the house, and the Senate gave 28 votes. A successful Democrat named Edward announced on Monday evening that he had signed a bill into law.
Since 2015 the state of Louisiana allowed doctors to use cannabis as a medical drug to help you’re a number of different diseases including cancer seizure disorders, epilepsy, glaucoma, post-traumatic stress disorder and Parkinson’s disease.
According to this new law, no doctor will have to provide documents in order to get legal permission from the state to use cannabis as a drug to treat patients.
